So the blame, if any is really needed, should rest on the scoreboard operator. Who probably resides within 30 minutes of the arena.

Crawwford probably should have waited until after Durant took his free throw, but there was no gurantee Durant was going to make the free throw to begin so there might not have been a stoppage of play. I can't help but feel like Crawford did overreact a little bit though. If this was say Kn Mauer who was the CC you cannot tell me he would hault the game to yell at the score's table. While Crawford could have handled the situation better he did not cause Kevin Durant to miss his free throw, Durant did that on his own. Also it is not like this was the very end of the game. There was still 27 seconds left so the Thunder had 27 seconds to try and take the lead and they did not. To blame Joey Crawford for a missed free throw and a loss is very short sighted.

This was actually not Leroy Richardson's first time working the Playoffs but he had not worked them since 2003 so it has certainly been awhile.

Just seemed that way - especially to him! Thanks for the correction.

Here are the officials for all the game sevens today:
ATL/IND: Tony Brothers (CC)**, Sean Corbin*, Rodney Mott* (Alternate:David Guthrie) OKC/MEM: Scott Foster (CC), John Goble*, Tom Washington* (Alternate: Eric Lewis) LAC/GSW: Ken Mauer (CC)**, David Jones*, Ed Malloy (Alternate: Michael Smith)
*I think that this marks the first game seven assignments (on-floor) for Corbin, Goble, Jones, and Mott (and first one in a while in Washington's case). ** I think this marks the first game seven assignment as Crew Chief for both Brothers and Mauer. *** I'd think that this is a good indication that the 9 on-floor officials will be working in the next round.

Confirms that Tony Brothers has moved up into the top tier in the NBA's eyes. I presume we'll see either the Crawfords or Monty McCutchen leading the crews in Sunday's Game 7's.

The interesting one on this list is Bennett Salvatore. Although he's not a crew chief in the playoffs any more, the NBA thinks he's good enough to work a Game 7. Not quite ready to be put out to pasture like Eddie Rush or Dick Bavetta just yet.

My second round chart is up to date with some interesting notes from the first two days of round two. Tony Brothers in just his second season as a playoff CC is a CC in the second round. Usually there are 6 CC's in the second round so I wonder who Brothers replaces. I would guess Mauer. Also Tony Brown with his first on court assignment in the second round. Congrats to him for that accomplishment!

Congrats to him for that accomplishment! My guess is that there'll be 7 crew chiefs in this round (like there were 2 years ago): Brothers, Callahan, D. Crawford, J. Crawford, Foster, Mauer & McCutchen.

James Capers is a crew chief tonight - that's a bump-up for him. More crew chiefs?? Or is somebody getting bumped down?
