Nice to see a Coach handle properly discipline with players and Staff as Coach Sumlin did for Texas A & M. Unfortunate that the Student Assistant Coach was dismissed but definitely warranted. Kudos to Coach for doing it the right way! Now, one or more of the Officials working the game should have seen it as well and flagged it!!!

Capron's crew blew another one, this time in their Bowl game.....A loose ball fumble blew dead, supposedly they blew the ball dead on stopped forward progress....could hear no whistle and the ball was out on initial contact, a bit ahead of the stopped progress, anyway that's what it looked like on replay to me. Brent Mussberger had fun with his CYA reference by replay to hide the error. He'd let them get away with it this time was his comment with a chuckle. But the officiating looks ragged, and I finally turned it off to go watch paint dry.

What surprises me is the poor attendance at the "big" bowls. Plenty of good seats available in Miami. Orange Bowl is an easy drive for both fan bases.

Watched most of the Cotton Bowl and thought the crew handled the game, full of wild momentum swings, very well.

Don't like the SEC replay official stopping for review when the Oregon runner was clearly short of the goal line. Hopefully it doesn't cost Oregon a touchdown.

Land Clark with a good running into kicker call on Alabama. Kicker flopped which irks referees and they are loathe to give the full 15. Lemonnier with a good explanation.

Land Clark reminds me a little of Bill Carollo in stature and signals.

Hennigan's crew in the Cactus Bowl has had quite a few close calls. Three out of the last four plays late in the third quarter went to review.

It's my feeling that there are way to many bowl games, and the ones there are made for TV spectaculors and I don't think a number of teams derve to be there. All these games are doing is providing sponsor revenue for the TV, nothing more. They sure lack live fan interest, look at the number of empty seats at the most of the games. The exception would be the established long time bowls.

Did anyone see the opening kickoff of the Sugar Bowl? Would that have been a TD if Ohio State recovered? I know in HS, it is a touchback, but I was unsure of NCAA rules.

Xavier Woodson of Arkansas State was ejected for threatening an official. I wonder what he said.
