My theory is flip guys between FJ/SJ to balance the crew, usually the opposite the guy who switched is fairly new and the LOS official on the same side is also fairly new. I think they want a veteran presence with the official who interacts the most with the inexperienced officials.

I think putting Sarah Thomas on Morelli's crew is a good move. He's solid, and will see that she gets off to a good start.

Yeah, this year there was a miniclinic that was for physical tests (see the other post on that). James Coleman ruptured his Achilles, and is out for the season.
I have also heard from many that Jonah is a great hire. Interesting that for the last two seasons, when a last-minute hire is needed, they turn to Terry McAulay's recruits.
