Not sure you can classify Harbaugh as a wannabe head coach, say what you want about him personally but the success and record speak for themselves. Certainly cannot group the two of them together... ...Having said that, Harbaugh knows he can't run across the entire field, even if it was to help try and break up a fight. I think the altercation between the coaches happened when the officials told Gruden to step back and he said something to the affect of "why do I have to stand back when I'm two feet on the field and he's all the way over here?"

It brings up a question I've asked year-after-year: Can an NFL head coach be ejected from a game? Baseball managers get tossed, so do NBA head coaches. It would seem to be a simple yes/no question, but I've never seen an answer.

An entry in the casebook that almost exactly describes Bill Cowher's altercation with Gordon McCarter is listed as an ejection. Red text was added this year. (I also included that in the unsportsmanlike conduct chapter of the book.)

It's preseason. As long as they're on their game when it's for real, who really cares if they make a mess of it in the preseason?
I've got Giants-Patriots on now, and it looks like Morelli's out too, with (I think) Rick Patterson at R. Is this a league-wide thing tonight?
And now Morelli's back in at Foxboro. Now I'm just confused.

Practice to work 6-man mechanics w/o the crew chief. I started a separate thread on that.
