This may not e the right place to ask this question if it is not please direct me to the correct location. How can you block a man from the side pushing them straight down the LOS and not hold? Is it possible? It would be something along the lines of SAB (Severe Angle Blocking) that youths use. Reason is a man has approximately 35% less resistance when pushed from the side than when he is pushed back. I want to be able to push the defender down the LOS. Creating more movement with out being a hold or illegal use of the hands. How would your hand placement have to go and would your head have to be in a specific location? I would assume that you would keep your head in the front to not let the defender through your body.
Thanks
Chris

I would recommend having the head in front of the blockee. Blocking a person from the side is legal as long as the blocker doesn't form a bear hug, and use their hands to grab the opponents jersey.
