I saw the replay and there is no indisputable evidence. Period. It is getting absurd. The call by Riveron was as bad as the touchdown he took away from the Jets a couple of weeks ago. I still haven't seen the Jets player did not re-establishment before hitting thr pylon. And since when just because the ball moved that is loss of possession. The Jets tight end never lost complete control of the ball and if it was anywhere else on the field, he would have been ruled down by contact. There was absolutely no fumble.
I have always been an advocate of centralized replay. It works beautifully in the NHL and they are moving finally towards using it in soccer and World Cup. But to make the system work, you need a competent person making the final decision. One has to wonder just how competent Riveron is.

So who should have gotten the job if not Riveron? I would have suggested Walt anderson but he's a Texas guy and I would assume he wouldn't want to go to New York.

Anyone care to propose a better choice than Riveron? All these arm chair officials who complain about Riveron but don't want to propose an alternative.

When there is universal agreement among both armchair officials and those who made a fine career of the vocation, the criticism of Riveron is warranted any day of the week and twice on Sunday, as they say. But since the question was asked, I'll suggest a name -- Gene Steratore.

He would have to give both jobs up and move to New York.

He would have to give both jobs up and move to New York. I had forgotten his NCAA basketball routine, but he lives outside of Pittsburgh, so a relocation to New York wouldn't be too much of a geographical change. I doubt he has much to do with the day-to-day operations of the janitorial supply company, and I also don't know if the NFL would make him divest any ownership interest he had in it. But, since a name was requested, I provided one
