Question for everyone... LOS 11 YL, going in... QB A22 scrambles left, crosses the LOS, gets to the 10 YL, retreats, rolls right, retreats back over the LOS (11YL), passes to open A48 (QB was on the 13 YL when pass was thrown, behind the LOS), A48 runs in for touchdown....
Legal or illegal? Nothing in rulebook about crossing LOS and retreating and passing that i could find, only where feet have to be to have legal forward pass
I had never seen this happen at any level...
I think it is legal since the rulebook does not specify, at least i could not find it...
Thank you!

By NCAA rules which Texas plays by, the QB cant go over the LOS, come back behind, and throw a forward pass.

I had this happen in a game a few years back. My experience prompts this caution/advice, make sure wings and BJ stay with the receivers and Umpire find your linemen. Lineman released to block downfield for the apparent run, between the Umpire and Wings had 4 ineligibles, beyond the expanded neutral zone.
