Fans having to dig their way to their seats.

The officials initially waved this play off to incomplete.
After review, referee Carl Cheffers said George Pickens "satisfied" all the elements of a catch, including making a football move. Replay reversed the call from incomplete to catch, fumble and a Bills recovery.

I am not sure what a defensive player should do with that fake slide. Hit him you get flagged, don't hit him you get a TD

Steelers tight end Pat Freiermouth fumbles the ball near the sideline and the call on the field was that the ball was fumbled forward out of bounds. Bills coach Sean McDermott uses the second of his challenges on the play.
It appeared that the recovery was cleanly in bounds, However, there was no conclusive evidence that the ball did not touch an out-of-bounds player while it was loose. Therefore replay can't reverse this to a recovery.
Buffalo loses the challenge and is out of challenges for the remainder of the game.

Oddball rules question: A Steelers receiver was trying to make a catch in the endzone, and a fan threw a snowball at him. Is there any provision in the rules for fan interference? The only thing that occurs to me is "palpably unfair act," but that only applies to players and coaches, right?
Just curious...

Miles Jack is flagged for hitting a sliding Josh Allen. Defenders are given grace if the quarterback slides late and the defender is already committed to hitting the quarterback.
That's not the case here. Jack's hit was obviously late and a personal foul call on the Steelers defender is a correct call.

The only thing that occurs to me is "palpably unfair act," but that only applies to players and coaches, right? Just curious... There was a game in Denver in the mid-80s where a barrage of snowballs actually interfered with the snap of an opponent. Nothing happened. The officials don't get into the those "fan interference" calls.

Dane Jackson had an arm on the Steelers receiver, but there wasn't enough restriction to draw a pass interference flag. It looked suspect, but a no-call here was the best call.

R 51 Carl Cheffers: 3.8 - Smooth and possibly the best referee in the NFL at this time U 22 Brandon Cruse: 3.7 - Excellent first playoff game. Didn't freeze in the spotlight. Good mechanics DJ 63 Mike Carr: 3.6 - Good playoff game. All of his calls were there. LJ 87 Tom Eaton: 3.6 - See Carr. FJ 26 Jabir Walker: 3.65 - Properly bagged the fumble out of bounds. Needed a moment and some help to get to the proper ruling, but that's what the crew is for. SJ 41 Boris Cheek: 3.4 - Took too long on a defensive holding call conference. Seemed to dig his heels in for DPI. The call was there, but it needed to be more efficient. BJ 120 Jonah Monroe: 3.8 - Was there to help Walker on that fumble. Calls were there. Monroe is a great official. He auditioned for the white hat before. I hope he gets the white hat some day.
Crew: 3.65 - The crew put in a good game. A bump here or there, but Cheffers and Monroe helped keep the train on the right track.

You could see from the 1st quarter some of the things that makes Cheffers so good at maintaining the flow of the game and administration.
