It appears that current referee Riveron was once on Ed's crew.

wow, Steve Wilson has become quite rotund in 4 years Yes, Steve has let himself go. This supposedly was one of the factors that went into Ed asking for a different Umpire.

Is there any other official in the NFL who is in as good of shape as Ed?

Hey, I just noticed an interesting issue in the crew picture from 2004. Does any one else see it? Hint: It involves one of the 2 rookies on the crew.

They use to wear Nike awhile back & now of course they have a contract with Reebok. Becky

#82 is his AFL number, the picture must be from a preseason game. He was a late addition to the staff in 2004, that was the year line officials had many medical issues. James Wilson retired, Tom Stabile missed most of the season, and I think there were others. Kent Payne was another late addition, and Derrick Bowers moved from LJ to HL, and Ron Marinucci came back after not being on the original roster. Symonette's NFLE number before he made the NFL was #57, so with Riveron on this crew, he couldn't wear that jersey while waiting for his #100 gear.
