Also, Rivers HL#121 left in the preseason- if I recall- isnt that why Bowers moved from LJ to HL. I thought I remember Rivers was on Anderson's crew- was there in Preseason one week and gone the next- Bowers replaced him- right...
Umpire Bob Wagner retired the previous season- making #100 available...
Hantak, McElewee, Wilson, Wagner were the only retirements- I remember...

If I remember correctly, Rivers' leaving had to do with his other job. It involved a casino or lottery, something gambling related.

I think he became a commissioner for the PA Lottery, or something like that. It was a position that required honesty and integrity, and he was hired.

Becky, I'm sure the regulars here would be interested in any photos that you do care to share. Hi MDHutton, Yes I will have my film developed tomorrow. It is just too cold to go out today(Wind Chill in the teens). Plus I want to watch some of the NFL Football games on NFL Ticket. I do not have a digital camera so I will have to take them to a place to have them developed. All of them were pretty far away -- 16 rows up in the corner end zone. I have to K-9 sit tomorrow thru Wed, but when I have them done I might drive home & scan them & post them for you all(Well if there are any good ones). The best thing was Ed Hochuli smiling from ear to ear & seeing me holding up my poster I made. Becky

You have too look hard for Ed Hochuli -- White Hat & Black Pants. Note: During the National Anthem -- You can see the back of Ed Hochuli with his Hat off - by himself in black pants in the middle of my video. Becky

Ed Hochuli Christmas Card 2008 A friend/fan of Ed Hochuli sent me this card. It is kinda grainy, but I wanted to share it with the BTFS Staff & Posters. I wish I could have received one. Oh Well! The Fan told me that he sent a Christmas Card to Ed Hochuli's office & I am guessing the staff sent one back to him. Becky
