Not the greatest match-up, but I'm looking forward to watching Steratore's crew!

I agree with watching Steratore's crew, but I disagree with the match-up description. I think it will be a very entertaining game. These teams have no love for each other, and the loser is in big trouble concerning the post-season. We shall see.

Gene Steratore is the most relaxed and self-confident white hats on the mic currently in the NFL - and that includes Hochuli.

Gene Steratore is the most relaxed and self-confident white hats on the mic currently in the NFL - and that includes Hochuli. I think you can put Blakeman on that list too. He seemed very relaxed when he made the announcement of the penalties after the Finnegan-Johnson fracas yesterday. Most referees seem very tense on the microphone whenever they have to make an ejection announcement.

Steratore just had another excellent explanation after a review. It was a complex situation where a dead-ball foul had to be enforced and the game clock also had to be reset.
This guy is GOOD.

I enjoy CBB and Steratore is a pretty good Referee there as well.

For the first 3 weeks that MP had the online chat with Fox news, i asked him, "With the likes of Parry, Steratore, and Blakeman, has the bar been raised for incoming Referees?"
He hasn't responded to that question in any of those 3 weeks. ;D
It's so plainly obvious those 3 rock, it isn't funny.

I was critical of Steratore earlier in the year about using his hands while announcing a reviewed call, but tonight he made a call about a backwards pass while he was walking. I have never seen this before and I liked it! I think #114 likes to move.
He also corrected his own call with an excellent explanation.

Steratore is getting very high praise from all 3 announcers in the ESPN booth tonight. It's a rarity when announcers praise officials, so Gene must be doing something right.

#114 will be working a SB within next 5 years. I'll put money on it.

I didn't watch the entire game but I'll give the crew a solid A. Steratore gets an A+. There were a couple of tough reviews, but Steratore made the correct calls and gave excellent explanations all game (as usual).

I noticed that the BJ for this game was Triplette's BJ (#133). Does anybody know why?
