As we go into Monday Night Football tonight, with Scott Green's crew (I think), there is some sad news to report. "Dandy" Don Meredith, who started broadcasting on Monday Night Football with Howard Cosell and Keith Jackson in 1970, until 1984, passed away due to a brain hemmorage. Here's the report from ABC News: abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory?id=12322834 Attachments:

Dandy Don could hold even with Howard Cosell, and that was doing something...along with Frank Gifford, they made MNF a real treat to listen to. The banter was enlightening and entertaining. Oh! for the good old days again. RIP Don you've seen your last shot gun formation.

Interesting situation here. NE receiver caught the ball in the endzone. His left foot came down in bounds, then the left hand and forearm came down in bounds, followed by the elbow landing out of bounds. Following a discussion between Green, Barnes, and Prioleou, it was ruled a TD.
Not sure what the rule is on that one. Hopefully we get an answer from MP or Carl Johnson this weeks.
Edit: The announcers just confirmed that the right call was made.

Not much of a game so far, but I'd give Green's crew an A. They'd better be on their toes in the second half. Either the Jets will mount a rally, or the Patriots will get sassy, the Jets will get frustrated, and the came could get chippy.

The game is a stinker, but Green's crew is doing "A" work. The officials are quick to collapse on the play to make sure everyone gets pointed back to their respective huddles.
Six minutes to go, the game is decided, Green's crew is almost home-free.
