I disagree with Pereira but can only base that on video I saw. Was it conclusive enough? One of the replays I saw looked like the tip of the ball was inches away and his knee was down. What bothers me about Pereira's comment on the game is that he never mentions, and I've not heard anyone mention the hit on Stafford that led to a safety. It was clearly a personal foul and was a much more aggressive hit than the one I saw Richard Seymour flagged for in the Houston\Oakland game the previous week. The 49er player clearly dove at Staffords knees and tackled him just below them. The safety altered the scoring and maybe evn the play calling later in the game and led to Detroit trying for and failing a two point conversion later in the game. Instead of having a 1st down on their own 25, Detroit gave up a safety and the ball. This was a obvious missed call so when Pereira was talking of this play yesterday I was surprised he didn't mention what was obvious
