www.nhlofficials.com/display_news.asp?articleID=534Referees: First Finals for O'Rourke (9) who has made a steady move to the top over the last few years. It is clear that O'Halloran (13), Walkom (24) and Sutherland (11) are now considered the top three refs in the game with McCreary gone. Rank them? - maybe O'Halloran first, Walkom second now that he's back on the ice, and Sutherland third. It's O'Halloran's and Walkom's fourth finals and last two in a row. Sutherland's second, also consecutive. Linesmen: 6th straight Finals for Morin (97), 4th straight for Racicot (65), and third straight for Miller (89). Sharrers (57) has been to the Finals numerous times and returns after a two-year absence. In short, they've got the best.

Even though he didn't get far this year Paul Devorski (10) still has to be considered among the top refs. I believe that this was the first time in quite a while he didn't make the finals.

Last year's finals had O'Halloran, Walkom, Sutherland and McCreary - so it's two years in a row that Devorski has missed.
McCreary was the amazing exception - staying at the top of his game right up until retirement. Others (notably Gregson, Fraser and Marouelli) faded right out of the playoffs before retiring. Devorski is now the "senior citizen" of the staff - it'll be interesting to see if he can maintain a high level.

Thanks for the correction tj. Devorski will turn 53 in August so it is very possible we have seen the last of him in the finals.

Look at 41s. Bergeron put his finger in Burrows' mouth. LOL Bergeron should be fined!

Look at 41s. Bergeron put his finger in Burrows' mouth. LOL Bergeron should be fined! No action was taken against Burrows. Since the NHL got this one right, Bettman must not have been involved.
