bit.ly/hKlOeSThis is what happens when the rule book is not clearly written. There is no passing allowed under the yellow caution flag. But, what happens when you exit the pits after changing tires and taking on fuel. Where do you blend into traffic after exiting the pits? Bobby Unser had one interpretation, Mario Andretti had another. United States Auto Club Chief Steward, Tom Binford, initially took the win away from Unser and gave it to Andretti. Unser's team appealed and the court of last resort ruled that the rulebook stating where a car blends in was not clearly written, thus a disqualification of Unser was too severe. Here's a Wikipedia article about the race: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1981_Indianapolis_500I know racing isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I post this because sports officiating controversies come in all shapes and sizes. Write those rules clearly!

This is why every rulebook for every sport needs to be COMPREHENSIVE and have almost ZERO grey area!
