Did anyone know that NBA.com posts the referee assignments at 9am each day of the game. . .?

It's pretty new. Too bad that the only referees I care about from my watching days (1988 - 98) are Bavetta, J. Crawford, and Javie.

I don't watch enough NBA to know about the officials there. the only officials I follow are MLB, NFL and FIFA referees. (curses still to Koman Koulibaly!) haha.
I've seen Bavetta, and Crawford was on the game I saw yesterday. Ken Mauer is solid (usually, 5 T's . . eh. . .) I've yet to see Viloet Palmer. . . ever.
i 'm currently watching Gene Steratore and the Illini.

I follow the "curmudgeons" who started in the 1980s and earlier. Don't know much about the newer guys.

The newer guys to watch for years to come will be Bill Kennedy#55, Marc Davis#8, John Goble#30, Zach Zarba #33 and Ed Malloy #14.
Have not seen Mark Wunderlich #18 and Ed Rush #32 work this year.....Wunderlich missed playoffs with knee injury and thought Ed Rush missed playoffs two years ago with achilles injury.

Bill Kennedy was the first non-full time regular Crew Chief to be assigned to the Finals in my memory dating back to D.Garretson's regime.
This year Bill Kennedy and Marc Davis are full-time crew chiefs which the office thinks highly of them.
Remember this might be the last year for the following NBA Officials, Bennett Salvatore, Joey Crawford, Mark Wunderlich, Bob Delaney, Dick Bavetta, Steve Javie....Hence the emphasis on giving some "pushes" the last two years.
Alot depends on new Ref Contract as their agreement also ends this year....

Javie is still young, isn't he?

Stevie Javie is mid-fifities and has had several serious knee injuries. Alot depends for several veterans the retirement package of their upcoming CBA.

Dick Bavetta is pushing 70 if not there already.
Millions of trips up and down the hardwood can do weird, painful, and random things to the knees and ankles over the years...Bavetta still truckin' along at 70 and Javie reffing through pain.

Dick Bavetta is 71 years young. Born on Dec. 10 1939 in Brooklyn New York I've had a chance to watch Bavetta work live a couple of times over the last few years, and for being a 70 year-old man, he does a pretty good job compared to some of the younger guys. He has a good on-court demeanor, isn't a hothead, and is always in control of the games he works. I'm not sure if the NBA puts officials in the hall of fame, but he deserves to be in the hall based on his body of work.

He's always in communication with the players and they always know where they stand with him at any point during the game. One of the best game managers out there.
