Last night's game ended with a booth-reviewed touchdown. The place went nuts and that was it.
I went to bed right after that, but got to thinking, they never kicked the extra point. I thought that was required.

The extra point is not required on a game-ending touchdown in college football unless it would either tie the game or win the game. It is required in the NFL except in overtime.

Here's the video of the play, replay, and Lipski's announcement. bit.ly/pGv5MNI know the B had to defend the endline, but if he had been able to get to the goal-line two or three steps sooner, he might have been able to make the call. It would have been reviewed no matter what. Lipski's crew worked a very good game.

I felt like this call was a TD, but they called it short of the goalline, and from the angles that ESPN showed, it wasn't conclusive enough.

Where was the other judge? the BJ was in his position and the other was up high, blocked from the ball but the other judge should have been in position to call it from his angle.
Thankfully they got this one right or else Lipski would have been run out of town.

B must be there earlier, or stay on the DBL and F sprint in from the other side to as soon as the pass is released.
