Major brawl in Chicago. Bears int. Late hit, sideline brawl. Flags everywhere. Officials on the bottom of the pile.
Sorting things out as I type.

Jim Schwartz is frustrated, but he did NOT help things.

Morelli's crew had been throwing flags for PFs all night. I can't really say that they lost control of the game, but that was one of the more ugly scraps I've seen an awhile. Looked very much like a baseball brawl.

DJ Moore, Bears #30, tossed. Good ejection.

Good call by Morelli on the RTP - can't drive a QB into the ground. I DO think that the Lions are developing a reputation for roughing the passer penalties. Video: bit.ly/tIRpr8

Suh and Cutler get a little fussy........... bit.ly/uzKNb5The prior two videos were incidents that led up to the ejection. I'll post ejection video if/when I find it.

Stafford should have been flagged for the tackle on Moore. I can understand Moore's frustration, and as a player I would have taken issue with that not being called.
I think the DQ was kind of weak, but considering the chippiness, perhaps it was necessary.

I think the ejection was kind of weak as well. But, they probably got Moore for enciting the brawl more than anything. All 3 ejections this season have been unwarranted IMO.

There had been so many personal fouls up to that point, I think that the officials felt forced to eject after that. Stafford should have been flagged for un-necessary roughness, but I agree with russ that Moore was tossed for inciting the fight.
Ugly game. The Morelli crew did their best. 3.5 for working hard to keep a lid on things. Didn't see many missed judgement calls.

Video of fight in Chicago: bit.ly/sBvlQMVernatchi really was in danger in that fight. He was on the bottom of the pile.

Morelli's crew took a big step towards getting a playoff assignment with the way they handled that situation. That could've gotten really ugly.
I'm anxious to see how many fines we see after that mess.

Morelli's crew took a big step towards getting a playoff assignment with the way they handled that situation. That could've gotten really ugly. I'm anxious to see how many fines we see after that mess. Sure they did - an assignment to a pool-side chair with a drink with an umbrella in it. Eject the retaliation, I get it. Probably warranted, even if just to send a message considering what led up to that mess, but to miss the original illegal tackle is unacceptable. Morelli is God-awful on the mic and his crew has never commanded respect, in my opinion. There were also multiple Detroit players swinging in the brawl, and it certainly appears that Vernatchi caught one -- how does that go unpunished? Had they ruled down-by-contact on the interception originally, none of this would have happened. Good reversal, though. Sorry Pete, join the list of Referees the Bears have seen this year (as in all of them) that don't get the big game. Playoffs maybe, but not the last game.

Good game by the crew in San Francisco....they let the players play none of those ticky tack fouls we've come to expecvt from Winter's crew (didn't Winter work with this crew last week and have a fairly clean game). I'd give them 3.9; there must have been something they missed but I didn't see it.

Good DQ call by Morelli.
It is necessary in a game where multiple PF and that level of tomfoolery is created.

Bad UNR flag thrown by Steratore's crew, I think it was from Paganelli. They called hit on a defenseless reciever, but the hit by the defender was actually on his own guy and thus should not have been flagged.
