What do/did you think of the officiating crew?

Gene Steratore tonight. He and his crew have been getting a lot of primetime lately. Looking forward to it.

Uneventful game. 3.8 for Steratore and crew.

Steratore had an iffy roughing the passer in the second quarter, but that was about it.
Paganelli and Waggoner had some great downfield calls tonight throwing the flags for hits on defenseless receivers.
Marinucci and Mackie worked a great game and have seemed to have shaken off that complete breakdown from a few weeks ago when they ruled an obvious forward pass a fumble. The wings did a very good job.
The crew worked good as a whole when tempers started festering.
3.78

The RTP was very very marginal if there at all..
Hit on a defenseless receiver....that was a tough one....I didn't see helmet to helmet...I saw helmet to ribs and the ball was dislodged. DB's have been tuahgt to do that to dislodge the ball. What is the alternative to dislodging the ball. I would go with Gruden on that one...again I am opposd to hits to the head but that was to the mid section in the region of the ball. After all, they are playing football but as Perieria always says when these things come up, under his regime (we never hear a peep from Johnson so nobody knows what's really going on), they wanted when in doubt to make the call so I suppose this would come into that category.
I would give them 3.4

I think it is clear that what the league is cracking down on is leading with the helmet or aggressive shoulder hits where a defender launches himself at a defenseless receiver

There was also a flag for an illegal move on the C that I did not see and it appeared that a NZI caused the OL to False Start. I also thought Steratore was wrong on the second Giants challenge

Paganelli and Waggoner had some great downfield calls tonight throwing the flags for hits on defenseless receivers. Don't agree. It was neither helmet-to-helmet nor a blow to the head. It's a fast, viscious game at times. The DB was moving away from BJ Paganelli at the time, so I'm not sure he could have seen what he called properly.
