I got a feeling that Parry may be the Super Bowl Referee... but who knows really??? If Parry gets the Super Bowl, it will rival McAulay's assignment to Super Bowl XXXIX. Parry is a very good referee but I think he needs to pay his dues before being assigned to the big game.

Parry has been a R for four years so it might be a little fast; however he has been an official since 2000, and SJ for Super Bowl 41.
McAulay was SJ for three years ('98-'00), became a white hat, and his first year eligible for playoffs he got a CC and got Super Bowl 39 in his fourth year as white hat.
I think Parry might get a CC this year, but I won't fuss if he gets the Super Bowl -12 years in the league and has a Super Bowl under his belt.

McAulay is Corrente's alternate. Either McAulay has the SB or he got shut out of an onfield assignment.
It is rather rare to have a white hat as an alternate in the wild card rounds. I think Corrente's health played a factor in that.....

As soon as the whole crews are posted at all positions, I'll start the official prediction threads for the Div and CC.

It looks like Jimmy Buchanan is either still a rookie since he only worked 1 game before this year, or rated low. Fred Bryan must be injured since he missed last week. Ronald Torbert is a surprise. 2nd year officials never get a game unless their crew is top 8.
I think everything is rotated because most of the officials who got nothing last year got in and all alternate Rs last year got in. Hard to see how Winter goes from good to bad to good.

They're using replacements from the Carey, Coleman, Green, and Hochuli crews. McAulay is an alternate so his crew is out.
Remember, if a crew doesn't get a playoff assignment, he is still elgible for a Conference Championship (CC) or a Super Bowl.
Walt Anderson's crew didn't get a playoff game last year, but Anderson got a Super Bowl.

According to my calculations... only 6 crews eligible next week... Anderson, Boger, Leavy, Morelli, Parry and G. Steratore
I can't confirm, but pretty sure Morelli and Parry are 2 of the 4 crews working

It also appears that Michalek, Payne and Hill are working CC round.

Perhaps DeFelice too, no?
Will the Replay Officials also be posted for each game?

I think Corrente's health played a factor in that..... Rare, but not unprecedented... Hochuli was a W/C alternate a few years ago, but didn't have an on-field assignment that year.

Speaking of Corrente's health I may be a conspiracy theorist but after missing the time he did a bit surprised to see him on the field even if he was my Super Bowl favorite until that point. Was he that great in the weeks he officiated that he still would have been playoff caliber with average to below average performances the other weeks or is his cancer much worse than reported?
