I concur full time officials are not needed.

If they had decent leadership at the top, the current officials could operate at a consistent level. But it's time for Goodell and CJ to hit the bricks, and let the rules committee put away their pencils, and quit complicating the game. I believe until this happens we will have this goat rodeo, and the officials will continue to be hung out to dry.

I kept telling myself I didn't want to get involved in this post... but just a brief statement... let's be realisitc here. The only ones calling for Full Time Officials are those uneducated people in the media who actually think making Officials Full Time would improve the quality of officiating. You can only watch so much video. You can only learn so much on mechanics. Being FULL TIME will not produce any positives. Let's face it, Full time officials would mean more stressed and overworked... thus meaning less quality officials.
Let's not forget... any full time status would have to be negotiated through the NFLRA.

They are full time already, all of these guys work at this FULL time, there is no part time. I wish that they would leave this alone, and get someone who knows what they are doing at the top. He has to be a good official, and a good admisitrator, and what they have there now, is neither. People don't realize, that these guys don't take that much time off during the off season. They work at this pretty much all the time.

I believe if the system is not broken, don't fix it. It is working fine. NFL Officials truly do an amazing job.
