Comments on Packers-Giants. on-msn.com/zaLiNkMeat of Pereira's take: I’m a fan of staying with the call that’s originally made on the field, but in this case, I think there was clear video evidence that the ball was being pulled out of Jennings’ hands before his calf hit the ground. It almost makes me wonder whether they even got to look at the last replay I saw before making the final decision.I would bet the mortgage that the replay process is recorded and the suits can play back a DVD of what the referee saw, how many times he saw it, what frames were frozen, and maybe hear a recording of the communications between the IRO and the referee.

Fred...while you see his right calf wasn't down, his left leg is behind and we can't (or at least I) can't see where it was at the instant the ball came out...therefore is the replay indisputable? Was there a head on or foot on shot where we could see both sides of Jennings body? As I said elsewhere, it was far easier back when down by contact wasn't reviewable. We never had these controversies. They ruled down by contact and that was the end of the play!
