Hank, see Whitner hit against Thomas last week and Molden vs. Pitta this week the defender led with helmet to helmet but not called since runner was not "defenseles." Would rather see those called versus the one early in HOU/CIN game

Looks like Brady was short.

They're going to have to piece together many angles, but it looks it looks like Riveron will mark Brady short.

I do like that Riveron says first that call is reversed

Podraza and Payne earning their money at the goal line.

Cruising for OT, and Cundiff shanks a 32-yarder. Wow.

If Jennings TD stood in the first GB/NYG game (the one where the CB knocked it away for those who have YouTube clip) that should have been a TD by Evans

From @mikepereira via text on Evans non-catch: "Clearly not a catch. . . . No need to review it because it was clearly incomplete."

From @mikepereira via text on Evans non-catch: "Clearly not a catch. . . . No need to review it because it was clearly incomplete." Disagree. It was close enough to review. A coach cannot challenge any call at this point yet booth could've and should've. To take this approach disallows the use of an important tool, the replay. Are replay officials reviewing plays without authority and prior to actually calling for a review? The play was close enough to warrant review. Using the way of thinking that "I'm certain that it's the right call" would've meant the Brady TD would've stood since I'm sure the official who called the TD was certain he had it right.

I agree the Evans drop could have been reviewed but it would have stayed an incomplete pass because it clearly was an incomplete pass. I honestly think Triplette got that Jennings call wrong back in week 13. I guess the replay Offical felt that he saw it obvious enough that this wasn't a catch.

Observations:
Great game by Riveron and his crew. I didn't know what to expect from him since his assignement was a bit of a shock to me. He definitely proved he was worthy of a conference championship game with this performance today. Nice job keeping the game under control as well. It was certainly chippy at times.
1. Good non-call on the contact with the punter early in the game. Defender for New England was forced into the punter by a member of the kicking team (BAL).
2. Really close on the Gronkowski catch towards the sideline. Surprised this wasn't challenged by New England. Very close call. I don't have it DVR'ed, so I'm not able to have more looks at this.
3. Evans did not complete the process of the catch in the endzone, therefore it's an incomplete pass. I doubt this would have been overturned in replay and I didn't think this required holding up the game for replay.
4. This is nitpicking, but I thought Riveron put the ball too far back on replay on Brady's forward progress near the goal line. The ball should have been a few inches from the goal rather than spotted at the half-yard line. Given that there are no reference points on the various replay angles, that's probably the best he could have done.
