Thread cleaned up to take politics out.
Curious to see how this will work. People are worried that the deep judge in the NFL would clog the secondary. Now we're playing football on a much smaller field that's a pass happy league and we're clogging the secondary. Hmmmmmmmm.

Now we're playing football on a much smaller field that's a pass happy league and we're clogging the secondary. Hmmmmmmmm. Don't they call enough ticky tacky nonsense as it is? The game has lost its balance and what they (the competition committee) seem to want is the game to become like a pinball machine. The Pro Bowl was almost (note the use of the word almost) enjoyable because of the lack of penalties. Far better to miss some marginal foul, in terms of fans' enjoyment of the game, than to further clutter up the field. Just after the lockout, the NHL became almost unwatchable with the vast number of ticky tack penalties that were being called and the head of officials was sacked. The game had become almost unwatchable and they can deny it all they want with the excuse the players have learned what they can and can't get away with, the fact is more and more games are havng only one or two penalties being called and are far more entertaining to watch. At least that's my opinion. Some sort of illegal contact foul in football completely away from the play is almost amusing or making a call 5 yards and 3 incdhes down field the same. Let them play the freakin game and you'll have a far more enjoyable game.

There will be 2 deep officials in Arena. They will start out on the "college" hash and work inside out rather than the traditional sideline look.
