A hesitate to post this since the article is not well researched or written. There are some factual errors (Corrente and Green have worked a Super Bowl contrary to the author's assertions). He ranks Walt Coleman and Ron Winter low because of the Tuck Rule call and the 49ers - Giants Wild Card game. Whatever....... I'd write in and correct this guy on some of his factual errors, but he's not worth my time to register and tell him. bit.ly/wxslBi

The picture of Scott Green isn't even Scott Green. I also love that he ranks these guys on a few huge plays, whereas we all know its about consistency, not one gaff that can affect your playoff chances

i did want to email him because this article was bad: here's what I wrote if anyone was interested:
While I certainly do not agree with your rankings of the NFL officials, I thought I'd email you to let you know of several mistakes in your article, so when people read it they don't discredit you for factual errors.
The first of these concerns your write ups for both Mr. Corrente and Mr. Green, both of these men have worked Super Bowls as the white hat. Corrente worked XLI (Colts over Bears) and Green worked XLIV (Saints over Colts) ... in addition to that, the photo of Scott Green is not him. I believe the man you have a picture of is an umpire, however I'm not sure which one. The only reason it cannot be Green is because he has been a white hat for the entire duration of Mike McCarthey's tenure as Packers HC.
I do appreciate people looking at the referees and giving them some attention, but you should also research their career and see how consistent they are before ranking them. Perhaps next time you write such an article, write it on the consistency of the career, and not the fact that they have blown a call in a huge moment, because everyone is human. Guys like Ron Winter, while never getting thie big game, have been playoff mainstays, and constantly solid.

More errors in the write up about Coleman. First off as everybody knows, the tuck ruled was called correctly despite what the author says. Second, the Packers-Vikings game he mentions was not a playoff game but just a regular season Monday Night Football Game.
He also said Gene Steratore was hired in 1996, not even close. He was hired in 2004.

He clearly got his info from wikipedia and knows very little about Officiating. For instance, according to him McAulay has only worked 2 CC's which we know is false and he also said McAulay was in charge of the Santonio Holmes catch call in the Super Bowl. That is just not true.
