Parry says in 2012, his crew officiated 2,403 plays and in the eyes of the league, 24 calls were called incorrectly. That's an accuracy rate of over 99%.

Very entertaining interview and the interviewers asked good questions which a lot of people dont do when they interview an official.

That was also mentioned in the Cleveland.com article in the full-time officials debate thread: "Of the 2,403 plays Parry's crew officiated this season, 24 were graded as incorrect calls, a league-high 99.4 percent success rate."

And I have a hard time believing that the full-time officials oF MLB and the NBA get 99.4% of their calls right...

There is a wide range of incorrectness from a simple mechanical error to the Jerry Bergman brain freeze in Arizona this year so I guess incorrect has to be more clarified.

Parry's crew according to the podcast also graded out as #1 in the NFL this year. Would like to know how 15, 16, and 17 did

Don't let your anti-East Coast bias get in the way of a good rant. It was not the best looking play but angles I have seen show the receiver seeing the db coming over the top and immediately going to the ground. That is textbook giving oneself up even if he was also a bit off balance at the time he spotted the db

Except that 0.6% of 2,403 is not 24. (2,403 - 24) / 2,403 = 99.0012484% 99.4% of 2,403 is ~= 2,389, which is 14 incorrect plays. My guess is cleveland.com made a typo.
