Just heard that Karl Hess will not work this year's ACC Tournament. The ACC released a statement that said Hess voluntarily withdrew to avoid any potential distraction stemming from the Chris Corchiani-Tom Gugliotta ejections. As a side note, officials at today's first ACC game wore the initials "KH" on their shoes. When it was made clear that Hess' absence was his decision, the initials were removed.

Very interesting. Probably a good move. I'm sure Mr. Hess can get other conference tournament work and if his fan ejections cost him work in the NCAA Tournament it'll be a real shame.

The KH on their shoes sends a strong message of support.
I love it.

FF7, Hess working Big East. I highly doubt he did it of his own accord though, otherwise today's early crew of Clinton, Eades and Luckie probably wouldn't have worn KH on their shoes if it was done willingly. just my thought.

Best for ACC not to use him and make him a focal point rather than the Athletes.
