Good stuff from 1969. Who is U38 and who is #10? Bill Swanson was #38 but I thought he was a wing? Al Sabato was #10 but he was in the AFL before the merger in 1970. bit.ly/Ny0XGo

Swanson indeed was an Umpire in 1968-1969. He started his career as a Line Judge in 1965 (when the position was created) and in 1970 he returned to LJ. In 1978 he moved to Back Judge, where he stayed until his retirement in 1985.
No. 10 was Fred Heichemer, who was a Field Judge (now Back Judge) in the NFL from 1963-1969.
