Back judge gets beaten on a Aaron Rodgers incomplete bomb. BJ can't get beaten deep. At the snap, he held his ground for a few seconds. That just doesn't cut it in the NFL.

I noticed Larry Nemmers was the replay official in Kansas City today. Are the replay officials not locked out? If so, why? Did Nemmers cross the line? Does anyone know? Seeing Nemmers working today was quite surprising

Seeing Nemmers working today was quite surprising The replay officials are the regular guys...they are not part of the union and hence are not locked out. They probably have no protection whatsoever and since it's a lockout and not a strike, anyway, there are no picket lnes to cross. I also noted on one of the lists of replacement officials for the pre-season, most of the supervisors listed are very familiar names. For example, Phil Lucket was listed as a supervisor for one of the crews. Again, they're management apparently and not part of the union action.

NFL: Replacements did "well" in early games: Our favorite, Ray Anderson, quoted. bit.ly/SvXP6cSo as we head for home late in the late games, I think it has been a bad week for the regular guys. The worst call I saw was as I described and been helped in the Jets game when with under 2;25 to play on first down the clock had been stopped by a JHets delay of game penalty. After enforcement they put the game clock, under 2:25 back in motion and while I blamed Rex Ryan for poor clock management, I wonder what would have happened if the Jets had allowed the game clock to tick down to the 2 minute warning and then prepared to take 3 knees? The game was almost out of reach for Buffalo anyway at that point but I wonder if anybody would have said something and corrected the clock as, somebody noted, in the last 5 minutes even if the clock is running it is not re-started after a penalty enforcement. This was a bad one, a c omplete break down in rules and game management by the officials but it really ultimately had no effect on the final outcome of the game unless you had Buffalo and 14 which was not the line. ;D We'll see if the regular guys begin to have second thoughts come Monday morning but I don't think this weekend's results, to this point, has done anything to bolster their case.

Cj, still watching these games? Are the Officials affecting the outcome of games? Depends on what you consider the outcome I suppose. The final play or no-call on 3rd and 8 for DPI that then results in a punt early in the 4th may affect the outcome. This is outrageous!
