30 years ago, the Eagles and Cowboys weren't exactly sharing a warm turkey dinner down in Big D. Gene Barth & his crew earned holiday plus pay trying to keep control of a game that would live in infamy.
Here's the first altercation, instigated by a late hit on Aikman. The ensuing action leads to Eagles DT Mike Pitts being absented from the game for throwing a punch.
Interesting enforcement back then: the original encroachment foul was enforced, then offset the UNR.
The Cowboys lone kickoff of the day led to arguably the most controversial moment, as Zendejas was knocked out cold. To add insult to injury, Zendejas was flagged for a low block.
Your crew that day: R: Gene Barth U: Ed Coukart HL: Ron Phares LJ: Ray Dodez BJ: Bruce Maurer SJ: Gerry Austin FJ: Dick Dolack
