Blakeman crew.
Lots to look for. Social distance officiating? Rookies? Anything else?
Enjoy the game and the officiating!

FJ 57 is Joe Blubaugh, a rookie. I think we need the rosters this year to figure out who is where this year.

DJ is Mark Hittner and Tom Stephan is back At his old LJ position. Very solid crew with 5 of the 7 having Super Bowl experience and 6 of 7 Conference Championship experience.

In watching the game last night, I think Blakeman used his Fox40 whistle. It sounded like there were late, electronic whistles. It was a little warble. I didn't see electronic whistles dangling from lanyards and wrists. I wonder if they are attached to an official's belt loop via lanyard or carbiner? You could hear the whistle since the stadium was 20% full. I noticed that the U played deeper and didn't move on a simple QB drop. Nothing else earth shaking. No matter what, it was nice to see football on my TV again!

I noticed Blakeman had his mask attached to a lanyard so he could simply pull it down when he had to make an announcement on the mic. I wonder of other white hats will have a similar setup.

We'll see if this is the NFL style or a personal style. Looking at the college games, I have seen sliding the mask under the chin, hanging on one ear, or temporarily taking it completely off.

I know at least one whose whistle is inside his face mask in a pouch and the facemask is attached with a lanyard, so maybe it's company issued option.
