That's the rumor.
But also remember that we might not see much of O'Nora next year either.

That's the rumor. But also remember that we might not see much of O'Nora next year either. Doubt MLB would seek to stir up trouble with the union without the criminal process being able to sort itself out. More likely is that he spends the process on the DL with a senior AAA umpire (take your choice of May, Libka, Woodring, Barber, and Ortiz) taking his spot on a crew perhaps with someone like C.B. Bucknor or Andy Fletcher as the U3 and some agreement regarding salary. This way if he is found not guilty or charges are dismissed there is a spot for O'Nora.

My guess is that this is Davis' and West's last year. West want to work the most games in MLB history and I think will get it later this year. And, both are 67.

Gerry Davis Should work his 5,000th game this year, hopefully in St. Louis. It's possible that his 5,000th game will be his last, although I don't know if that decision's been made yet. As for Joe West, I believe he's going to be 69 in October. This will almost assuredly be his last year.
