Bergman has been out since Week 1, Meslow since Week 2. No word at all

Walt Anderson clearly with a lot of confidence in Alan Eck early. His last 3 weeks he has worked the lead 4:25 game, TNF and a SNF game that is a rematch of a Playoff matchup from each of the last 2 seasons. I don't think it's a bad idea to give a new Referee major assignments early to see how he does but you just don't see that happen a lot. Rookie Referees will often go the full season with out working a Sunday or Monday Night Game.
