R 83 Shawn Hochuli: 3.9 - is a good crew leader and ran a good game U 77 Terry Killens: 3.99 - was everywhere tonight and an example of what the NFL wants out of their umpires DJ 106 Patrick Holt: 3.8 - a few tight calls but overall he did a very nice job. First divisional and proved he belonged LJ 47 Tim Podraza: 3.75 - mechanics gaff but put in a good job FJ 90 Anthony Flemming: 3.8 - first divisional and proved he belonged SJ 103 Eugene Hall: 3.99 - nailed all the tight calls BJ 78 Greg Meyer: 3.8 - appeared to do a good job tonight. Nothing jumped out.
Crew: 3.86
This Bills-Chiefs rivalry is the real deal. The emotions were at a fever pitch from the coin toss on. This crew did a good job of keeping their emotions in check and kept themselves under control. That helped keep the game under control.
The pass interference call on the Bills was incorrect. But the Chiefs ended up punting, so no scores resulted in the mistake.
Shawn Hochuli is a veteran referee who belongs in the post-season. He is solid, unflappable and a good official. Is there one more on-field assignment for him this season?
I think a few of these officials will work this year's Super Bowl. Each official on the field tonight is a great official and I can totally see all of them work a Super Bowl in the future.

Both of Sunday's games were quite impressive. After all the carping in the media about officiating this year, these were two big games that showed NFL officials at their best.
