So, I wanted to bring some more BTFS-centric content to spur more engagement here.
I'm holding off on any analysis of the new rule until I see the final wording in the rulebook with notes and cases, and if I get access to, training videos for coaches/players and/or officials. But I thought it might be a good exercise to look over the examples that were displayed on the screen at the owners meetings. The plays here were tweeted by an NFL Media reporter (shooting the screen from his phone), and a FZ staff member pulled the all-22 from each of the plays shown in the tweet.
I am not entirely sure what the provenance of the play selection was: (1) an indiscriminate collection of plays for the original discussion in the Competition Committee to determine the contours of the rule, or (2) selected plays from that set that are demonstrate actions that would be illegal under the new rule.
The new rule, as passed, but may be subject to some refinement: What do we see? What don't we see? Are these truly illustrative of the rule as written? What other takeaways are there from the plays shown here?

This could get ugly. Like reviewable pass interference ugly.
