Agreed. It's almost like Zambrano was trying to get thrown out. He was getting his brains beat in and didn't even argue with Timmons once he got the heave. That's a bad situation in Chicago...

Bonus points for Timmons.

Last night TSN has a story that Z packed up his locker and left the team.

Great job by Tim Timmons of putting the fire out before it got started.

Z has been suspended from the team for 30 days without pay. That's about $1,551,369. Might have to switch to Tecate from Corona.

What a great job by Timmons - textbook stuff. MLB execs should have every umpire watch that clip - it's something you so rarely see anymore.
Tim may have just punched his ticket to the playoffs yesterday.

Danley was clearly annoyed that Yost made him come out to the mound, just so Yost could yell at him about a couple of ball calls on his kid pitcher.

I was working a 35+ mens league game where I had an around the horn triple play, and so I got to call all THREE outs myself...its the only triple play I have yet to even see in a softball game.... Was working HP at a men's tournament game this year, where it was 1-0, visitors, B7, the home team had runners 2nd/3rd one out. Batter hits a sharp grounder to 3B, who looks the runner at 3rd back, GUNS it to 1st, and then the 1st baseman GUNS it home and gets the runner coming home by an eyelash. I bang that runner out HARD, and walk off the field for one of the few times with my heart pounding from excitement....better than some triple plays

This is interesting. Billy Butler hits what is called a HR for KC. The umpires review it and stay with their call. The Royals broadcasters believe this call should have been changed, and since they know what is a HR in their park I trust them. Plus, after DeMuth signals HR all the Royals all smiling. mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=18135183
