FredFan, get the Youtube of that as I still do not think Jennings ever had possession Is this it? bit.ly/vwr7gpFreeman must have ruled that Jennings had the ball clamped between his hands long enough. 6 points in my books - with my Canadian teachings.

Garth DeFelice left the Saints-Lions game with some sort of foot/ankle injury. Hopefully he's OK. Short news write-up. Meyer went into U instead of Terrance Miles, though. trib.in/uz9ufc

Clete is a very polished official tonight. It's quite obvious he'll become a league leader in ability.

I've seen Jeff Seeman up close and he must take after his mom's side of the family - he doesn't look like his dad at all!

Watched most of SNF. The OPI was called tight but consistently.
Detroit needs to grow up and play within the rules. Very disappointing to see. They could be a great story this year, but out-of-control play makes them hard to embrace.
With DeFelice out, Blakeman's crew did a great job in keeping the lid on a very tense game.

Considering Seeman was the one hit I thought he showed great restraint as some other officials have been known to jaw with the players. There was a brief conversation and from what little I can read of lips Seeman told #87 he was being flagged for contacting Seeman and #87 immediately said an apology/excuse and walked away

Watch Jennings right han d closely....as the ball slips through he cradles the ball with his left hand albeit briefly but by rule...it is a touchdown.....in the field of play it would have been ruled incomplete but the instant he obtains possession and both feet are down. it is a touchdown and the ball is dead in touch.

I do not agree with the assesments of Boger. His crew wasn't spectacular, but I would take him over Riveron any day of the week. The game was terrible, the officals weren't. The one gaffe I saw was allowing the Chiefs to pick up the challenge flag after already announcing the Chiefs had challenged the play. MD, an overturned call does not make a crew the worst in the league. It was a close play that no official really had a good angle on. And I am a big Bears fan BTW. My problem with the overturned play was that it was first signaled complete, and then another official (I'm not sure who) came and ruled incomplete 8 seconds after the initial call. Then, replay corrected it. This makes a crew's mechanics look suspect, and their positioning even worse -- both are inexcusable at the NFL level. Yes, everyone makes mistakes, but their shortcomings are consistent week-to-week IMO.
