Brakeman's crew off to a rip-roarin start as SD #98 is ejected for contacting an official in the 1st quarter. Video: bit.ly/t2yw4oUnfortunately, we can't see the contact, but I'm sure the crew didn't eject just for the heck of it....

Tough no-call facemask on Tebow that would have extended the drive. In real time I thought no-call, but replay did show a grasp and pull.

Morelli's crew just missed a facemask in Denver that might have an impact. I think that the U positioning is somewhat responsible for the miss, but Morelli should have seen the grabing of the back of the helmet.

Pereira tweets that, in his opinion, it should have been a flag. Didn't mention U in the backfield as a factor, but the ground camera angle was giving you the look the U WOULD have had in his traditional position........

Blakeman's crew missed several calls today but the on the play where the Raiders appeared to have the safety and the ball never completely came out of end zone, they ruled it at the half yard line. Oakland should have challenged. Even ex NFL players like Gannon don't know the rule. Makes one wonder who does know the rule. The ball has to be OUT of the end zone, if not, it's a safety. Huge missed call in a big game.

Brutal situation for the Lions in Green Bay. Titus Young appears to catch a touchdown from Matthew Stafford (2nd foot drags and receiver has possession). However it's called incomplete and because Schwartz lost his 2nd challenge (won the 1st) he can't review. Brian Billick on Fox was going off saying any play into the end zone should be reviewable without the challenge. I saw this play and it was a big missed call. Both feet in. A couple other missed calls by Coleman and crew.

Things have been rather testy between plays in the Saints-Panthers game but no flags so far. It will be interesting to see if Ed Hochuli's crew cracks down on that in the second half. Don Carey missed an obvious PI call by Harper of New Orleans on Shockey of Carolina. It was blatant and cost Carolina 7 points. I know it's hard to see everything but when it's right in front of you how do you not call it?

Aside from the missed facemask on Tebow, I thought Morelli's crew had a great game.
Grade: 3.7

I still think that thehorse collar rule was wrong when Ed Hochuli called it. other than tahjt the game was officated very well.
