Great replay confirmation by Mike Carey plus a great explanation.

Riveron with horrible managment in the Jax game. They called a personal foul after a sack of Campbell that negated a TD for the jaguars. The foul was at the 18, and they spotted the ball at the 42, using the original line of scrimmage (27 yard line).
When they call those fouls, the sack counts, and the penalty is enforced at the spot of the foul. So the ball should have been at the 33.
I think that call will seal Riveron's and his crew fate, No playoff for them, most likely.

Watching Winter's crew in the NYJ-MIA game. Pretty quiet so far.
I saw a good chunk of the Carolina-Atlanta game, and Blakeman's crew looked pretty good. Solid A for them. They're a lock for the playoffs, IMO (with another referee, of course).

Dophins VS Jets
WOW Some guy on the Jets sidelines just stuck his knee out on #28 of the Dophins. The guy for Jets was in a green Jets windsuit.... That is DIRTY.. That person or player should be ejected.

Penalties for fouls by the defense behind the line-of-scrimmage are enforced from the previous spot. And, if the penalty took away a defensive TD, as you describe, then it had to be a live-ball foul. If it were actually a dead-ball foul, the TD would count and the penalty is enforced on the kickoff (kickoff from the 15-yard line).

Winter's crew did miss a KCI foul that went against the Jets, and I also saw the incident where a member of the Jets' staff (not sure who) tripped a Miami gunner on a punt. The gunner was down for a couple of minutes and CBS showed a replay of the guy in a Jets' wind suit tripping the player.
Whoever did it needs to pay the price for that.
BTW, I give Winter's crew a B+.

Dud of a game, but Carey's crew gets an A. It was a very well administered game in very trying conditions.

Did not change the game but I thought the FJ on Winter's crew missed a push off on Santonio Holmes on his long catch late in the game (I know Tom Hill was on the other side and it was too far downfield for it to be a line official's call)

BTW, I give Winter's crew a B+. agree. i thought other than the KCI missed Winter and Co did well. I had the NE-Chic blowout until halftime when CBS decided to change the game to something more competitive, so i got Jets-Fins then. from what I saw, Winter and crew did well, although Winter sounded very winded on nearly every call. As for the NYJ guy who tripped Fins #28, he needs to be dealt with from the ejts and the nfl. uncalled for
