Easy overturn coming up in the SNF game. Mackie missed that one.
Game has been a dud so far.

The wings are responsible for ruling forward or backward. Marinucci is just as responsible as Mackie.

The wings are responsible for ruling forward or backward. Marniucci is just as responsible as Mackie. Pereira tweet: Wish I had been on the airplane before I saw that. Complete breakdown between Linesman and Line Judge. Totally unacceptable.Uh, oh. While replay sorted it out, Mackie and Marniucci could get scolded by Carl Johnson.

That was an awful call! 1 yard forward I could understand but 3?!?!?! The officiating this year has been below average for many crews this year. I think some officials are trying to play it out to retirement.

The shame of it is, the Steratore crew was just tootin' right along and that complete breakdown happened. Imagine if we didn't have instant replay to review that play.......
That play will be barely remembered thanks to replay.
That said, big dings to Mackie and Marinucci.

Marinucci and/or Waggoner missed a DPI on the Eagles #24.

I give this crew a D- if it's on a curve but an F to Mackie and Marinucci tonight.

I'm going to grade on the whole game and not just the poor backward pass call that was clearly forward by several yards.
High marks for Steratore, Schuster, Paganelli, Waggoner and Weatherford. The rest of the crew was involved in that brain fade.
I will not downgrade the entire crew for a few errors made by a few crew members. However, the crew did not have their best night. 2.9 for tonight. I'm sure that the crew will learn from this and move forward.

This was an easy game for Steratore and crew to coming out looking like top-of-the-line playoff contenders and they got sucked in to the energy of the game.
Two items (beyond what has already been mentioned) that should not have happened.
1. Steratore took far too long reviewing the sideline bobble catch by Dallas #81
2. Steratore spat immediately after announcing a penalty.

i agree that Mackie and Marinucci failed epically. There was quite some uproar on twitter saying Steratore was a horrible ref and how did he miss that call. I sorted some people out though letting them know that it's not at all Steratores call. (and in the process, tweeted with Gene's son, who thanked me for knowing the rules and who calls what areas on the field)...
I felt like one of the wings also missed an obvious DPI on 24 Asomugha. Wouldve given Cowboys ball at 1st and goal from 1...instead, turnover on downs. I think this was the FJ, but I'm not sure.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm You know what Opinions are like...... #NeedISayMore.... As for Ed Hochuli... he has said in several interviews.... better to say a bit more in an explanation about a Foul/Penalty than hardly say anything. "Bam" #enoughsaid! The whole explanation just seemed unnecesary, just say the ball came lose before he hit the ground, and based on the video, that is all that really happened.
