Is it common for officials to shake hands with players during course of games? NOT during games.... beforehand/Pre-Game yes.... they do with Coaches, Fans & Players

Is it common for officials to shake hands with players during course of games? Yes. Anybody trying to form an ulterior motive behind that picture would be mistaken. This might be the first time the two ever met. Both are professionals. That's it.

This might be the first time the two ever met. Both are professionals. That's it. Curious why you suppose someone is forming an ulterior motive when asking a question to the board? Many quarterbacks have healthy relationships with referees, I think of Gerry Austin and Peyton Manning candor and banter with one another, including touching of hands. This board is better off when answering questions rather than judging others intentions.
