Hochuli gives a dissertation on the Vernon Davis touchdown. That was a little to verbose. Yea but it needed to be explained like that. Awful flag on the celebration. They don't flag when players dunk the ball yet they flag that? This is the NFC championship game, not another Cowboys choke job. Let them play! Can't use props to celebrate. TV stand was a prop. It might be a bad rule, but it was properly enforced.

Looked like the spot was 1/2 yard behind where it should have been

No, because the player is not using the goal post as a prop, he is throwing the ball through the goal posts. It is equivalent to spiking the ball which is perfectly legal.

Great non-call by Carlsen, it was very close, but Vernon Davis didn't stepped out of bounds. Davis is pretty glad that they are playing on grass. The muddy divot he kicked up made it inconclusive at best. I think the balls of his feet were inbound and the heel never touched out of bounds. Good job by Carlsen to hold the whistle.

Also not sure I love the spot by Hussey on the 4th down. I though he may have gotten the first. But I do not think it was worth a challenge by Coughlin as there probably would not have been enough evidence for an overturn.

Pereira tweet:
The Lambeau leap and dunking the ball over the goal posts were the only two acts grandfathered in. Nothing else was. Can't jump on camera st

Think the Giants got away with one, should've been some sort of personal foul on Michael Boley. Instead Vernon Davis gets the dumb 15-yard flag.

Good explanation by Ed. Anthony Davis and Boley could have had offsetting PF but Vernon Davis had a separate act

Nice footage of MP talking about keeping the ball dry, and nice footage of Ellison.

Rare invalid fair catch signal called against the Giants. Right call, IMO.

Vernon Davis has got to grow up. That is two fifteen yard penalties against him. He is only harming his team by being stupid.
I also thought that was a good Invalid fair catch signal call. Couldn't tell if it was Paganelli or Carlsen who flagged it but whoever did, way to be alert.

I think Harbaugh was actually upset with Davis once the official explained it but what's he gonna do after their man-hug last week? H e can't go all Mike Singletary on him.
