Good explanation by Ed. Anthony Davis and Boley could have had offsetting PF but Vernon Davis had a separate act I noticed #10 and #24 inching onto the field to join the fray. Triplette headed them off at the pass. Good call by Hussey. Things were settling down and Davis wanted to be dumb.

I stole this from twitter:
Willing to bet Ed Hochuli could effortlessly explain the series finale of LOST.

Also not sure I love the spot by Hussey on the 4th down. I though he may have gotten the first. But I do not think it was worth a challenge by Coughlin as there probably would not have been enough evidence for an overturn. Play: bit.ly/wLQX2c

Nice call for running into the punter. Earlier in drive I thought Ross's shove was within 5 yards

On the Smith scramble where there was illegal contact, Hochuli looked a little gimpy chasing the play.
Hope he's ok.

On that hit to Brown, the 49er defensive back, you could see Carlsen moving the players back as trainers attended to Brown. Carlsen looked a bit shaken. When a player is seriously (or appears to be seriously) injured you always feel empathy and pray for the best.

That ball looked like it hit the knee of #10 SF. Nice job by NYG to challenge that & nicejob by ED explaining everything.

Strange on the forward progress call right before 2:00 minute warning, that Hittner dropped blue beanbag, then signaled first down for possession rather than signaling 3rd down.

Strange on the forward progress call right before 2:00 minute warning, that Hittner dropped blue beanbag, then signaled first down for possession rather than signaling 3rd down. Tight, but the forward progress call was there. Hittner dropped his bean bag not to indicate fumble, but to mark the spot. It looked like Hittner had to cover a pileup and move away from his forward progress spot. So he dropped the bean bag to make sure his spot was covered.

Hochuli did a pretty good job of explaining the playoff overtime rules. Actually, it seemed like it took him less time to do so than Ron Winter at PIT@DEN, believe it or not.
