Funny thing - I was watching this on MLB.TV with the sound off while talking to someone from Wisconsin who was watching it on live TV - the MLB.tv feed is a little delayed due to all the things it goes through - and they were telling me how Yost was telling Iassonga to go f*** himself, and f*** you..and sure, enough, you could read Yost's lips VERY clearly... One report you wish you could read ;D

He is not someone who gets ejected that often, but when he does he seems to just completely blow a gasket. I am not sure why it was neccesary to use that kind of language over such a small call like this that Iassogna got right by the way.

I watched it again over breakfast this morning (the joys of being able to jump to any inning in the archive), and the Brewer announcers suggested that it was also over the Francoeur ejection, plus the relatively close Aoki HBP just before that. Plus he has to watch the Royals try to play baseball all year, and that HAS to build on you. They also mentioned Yost learning his craft under Bobby 'Mr. Ejection' Cox...

Both the Royals AND Cardinal announcers are absolutely clueless..... Looks like Kerwin got blocked out there - it doesn't help he is one of the last umpires to get down on one knee behind the plate.

Got to admit Donnie Baseball got a nice, well rounded education in umpire baiting - his first manager was Billy The Kid Martin, and his third was Lou Piniella. And Yogi could get fired up too - just ask Bill Summers, the guy who called Jackie Robinson safe on that steal of home in the 55 WS....

Shouldn't an out for leaving early be an obvious thing? I mean, if it's close, shouldn't the lean be towards staying on the base until it was caught. This one wasn't even close!
