Nice job by Dale Scott & crew on this play. This was originally ruled a catch by the Pirates LF, however he trapped the ball. Dale Scott got his crew together, after Ozzie came out to argue & they ruled it a trap. mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=23251823

i think the "you arent' worth a huge ejection" flick of the wrist ejection may be the best thing in all of officiating-related- sports

No ejections, but Mike DiMuro had a difficult game He was bsolutely brutal...three routine calls at first base missed, the last one indirectly leading to the 5 run Dodger rally in the 12th but then again he called a foul ball fair which helped the Mets to a run in the 7th. Instant replay is an absolutely necessity especially with umpires like him (remember he's the same guy who a couple of weeks ago called that play in the left field stands at Yankee Stadium). In general, baseball umpiring is worse than it's ever been. Clueless Bud is just clueless on the question of instant replay.

Too many missed calls at first base these days....should be a routine call...maybe the umpires are watching the ball and not listening for the ball to hit the glove which is the proper way to make that call....it really does seem worse than ever even though many of these calls are bang bang they still should get it right 100% of the time.

Ouch. Defintinely a call Laz should have gotten right. Don't know if he confused the sound of the bag with the pop of the ball in glove.

Luke Hochevar plunks Mike Trout and gets tossed by Bob Davidson: atmlb.com/MmP33xSeeing that Hochevar was getting his brains beat in and the previous batter hit a home run, it was probably a good call to toss him without a warning.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly ejected in the 10th inning by Jeff Kellogg for arguing balls and strikes.
